A to Z Obscure Disney World Tips: J

J is for: Just buy the Junk when you see it

While it's true you'll bump into a souvenir shop every time you turn around at Disney World, not all shops are created equal.  So if you see something you like, don't assume you'll be able to pick it up somewhere else at a later point. I still regret not buying the "I was the Rebel Spy" pin by the bathroom near the Star Tours attraction.  And I'm so happy we stumbled upon the small stand just outside Fairytale Garden by Cinderella Castle---it was the only place with a decent selection of Rapunzel items.

If you don't want to carry your shopping bags around with you all day, no worries---Disney resort guests can have them sent to their rooms.

Disney World Trivia
A certain type of Disney souvenir can be traded with employees, or "cast members," throughout the property---what type of souvenir is this?

I hate when I see something nice and I don't buy it and then I regret not buying it later.

Cannot count the number of times I wished I had purchased something! Thanks for the tips. I have no idea what souvenir is traded at Disney World. I'll guess a pin of some kind. Enjoyed your post and look forward to reading more. Happy Wednesday! ☺

Okay, for some reason this made me totally jones for the Disney experience. All of the sudden, I just wanted to be there. Weird. Random.

Yeah.
Never done the Disney land/world thing. But I can sympathize with the "shoulda bought it" thing.

I've never forgotten a t-shirt I saw at Disney World. It had a cartoon of a woman shopping. It said, See Jane Shop. Charge, Jane, Charge.

And believe me I did, though I did not buy that particular shirt.

Love,
Janie

There are items I'm still whining over the loss of because I didn't buy it when I first saw it (or ended up paying a fortune for them on eBay!).

Nothing better in the world that resort ship-back! Only problem is, we buy so much, the gift shop cast members go running when they see us! By the end of the trip, we can never get waited on!

If it is something my son wants, I usually do buy it because, no doubt I will regret not buying it...he will make sure of that!

Great post! Hopping along the A-Z trail looking for great blogs...you rock!
I'd be fine because I just say no to souvenirs. Unfortunately, I can't say no to my wife.
That's an important piece of information.
Thank you!

How swanky to have it sent to your room! Just remember--one woman's junk is another woman's trash.

PINS! I collect them myself :)
And so true about buying things when you see them. I wanted a hat years ago and kept saying I would buy it on the way out. THAT store didn't carry it and now it's discontinued :(

I probably bought too much when I went to Disneyworld in December 2005, though I don't think I really bought anything that was souvenir-only. I also bought some holiday presents for people there. Probably my favorite thing I bought at one of the gift shops was The Three Stooges Scrapbook, even if I later found out it contains some inaccuracies and is a bit too kind on Joe DeRita.
